This morning is the Pinelands Conference Fall Meeting. I do not know how many people will be here or which ones will come. I only know that we will gather together in the name of the Father and or the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We will be differing ages, genders, backgrounds, congregations, likes and dislikes. We will, however, hold some very important things in common: the Trinity, God loves us, God loves everyone, Lutheranism (not always quite the same with each person) and a willingness to serve God and others. Oh! and one other little thing: we hold Jesus in common. Jesus who come to earth to die so we can be gathered together in the presence of the Father for all time… beginning now! We hold so much in common that there is little reason for us to be separate and yet we are. So, today, as you think about your neighbor, your family, your friends, remember that we hold Jesus in common for He holds us too. Read Acts 2:43-47 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
