Pain In the ****

The pain today is in my back, and legs.  We moved a ton, literally, of stone yesterday.  I have not had this kind of exercise for a long time.  My doctor says I should do this for thirty minutes each day.  Today I wonder if thirty minutes a day might not cripple me.  Then it is still early.  Maybe I will loosen up as the day goes by.  Or, perhaps it will get worse tomorrow.  The second day after exercise is supposed to be the hardest day.  No matter what, yesterday was good for me… especially if I follow up with MORE exercise today.  It is true in life that if you want to improve, become better at anything, there is a need for exercise, practice, study.  All of these can cause some kind of pain.  Change itself can be painful.  But, if we wish to improve and strengthen our bodies or our souls, it take exercise to make them better.  Spending time in God’s Word, spending time in prayer, spending time with other children of God, all of these will help your faith grow, they will help your relationship with Jesus get stronger and help direct your life.  You will be able to flex your spiritual muscles… without pain!  I hope you do not have pain in your soul, but if you do, read, pray, exercise your faith and you will grow stronger and, eventually, the pain disappears!  Read Psalm 1 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
