In Florida, people often ask where others have come from because so many of us have come from other states due to the great climate.  We even do it at worship on Sundays.  Where one has come from is an important question.  Sometimes the answer is not geographical, but familial… who are your ancestors?  Those who come from wealth or political or powerful business families may want to know how the other person fits in their future.  Those with a good past are often proud of this fact.  We Christians can be proud of our past… not necessarily how the Church as operated or acted, but in Jesus our “ancestor” who is the Brother to all who believe.  God, the creator, is our Father.  What a great family to be a part of!  And remember that family is the place where you can go no matter what and be taken in and loved.  You have come from God the Father and will return to God the Father.  Be proud of where you came from… and remember the rights and responsibilities that come with being a child of God.  Read Romans 8:12-17 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
