Weatherly Treasures

We often complain about the weather.  Lately I have not been sure if I should wear long or short sleeved shirts.  It is December after all but it has been unseasonably warm.  Next will be the weekend when it will be unseasonably cold.  I hope not too many of us get sick with the great change in temperatures.  And, we complain.  Yet even here in Florida where the temps never get frigid, there is a seasonal shift in temperature and color.  And, if truth be told, we do enjoy the differences.  The changes in weather give us variety, reason for thought and musing on the seasons, a chance to see God’s nature at work, and a topic of conversation.  The weather is a treasure provided to us, free of charge, by God.  So when the cold comes or the heat, when the bushes grow overnight or seem dormant for weeks, when God’s changeable show of weather gives us conversation, thank God for the weatherly treasures we have been given.  Read Job 38:22 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
