As my life has unfolded, I find that God has a way of helping me that is unexpected and miraculous. When I find myself in new situations as a pastor, I often wonder how I am supposed to help in that situation. God reworks me to fit so that I can make a difference even if the situation is new to me. I am somehow given abilities or insight or energy or… whatever it takes for me to be helpful, to make a difference for others. I think that God reworks us from sinful to saved, from worried to content, from mournful to comforted. God is constantly at work making us new and different as needed, as god sees fit. Today we sing to the shut-ins of our congregation. Today we become a choir of angels to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our friends and neighbors. Today we are in the hands of God. So today, and all days, I leave myself and you in God’s hands. What better place could we be? Read Jeremiah 18:1-5 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
