In olden times… long before nay of us were born, Christmas was not just a one day, or one night event.  It was a celebration of Jesus’ birth and any opportunity to lighten one’s load, bring light to life, celebrate was embraced with wholehearted vigor.   We often tend to be “one and done.”   Today remember that there are twelve days of Christmas.  Today is the First Sunday in Christmas. There are always two Sundays in Christmas before Epiphany so for the next week plus, we are still celebrating Christmas!  The rest of the world may have moved on to a New Year’s celebration but we, blessed as we are, are still remembering the joy and peace of Christmas.  Continue to give those gifts to loved ones and friends and hold the Christ Child up for all to see for Christmas is not over yet!  Thank God Christmas comes each year with the gifts of JOY and PEACE that can last for eternity.  Read Luke 2:21-38 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
