There is a para-church organization called: Cursillo or Lutheran Via de Cristo, or Caris or Walk to Emmaus. As with many things, your denomination may make a difference win the words and forms or worship that you use. At JOY, we are connected to the Methodist form called Walk to Emmaus. The Cursillo movement began decades ago in the Roman Catholic community and has spread far beyond. Cursillo is simply a short course in Christianity taught over a three day weekend. The Walk to Emmaus’ place for the weekend is her win Ocala and com in soon. This weekend experience is similar in all its forms and connects people of different denominations with each other through a common experience. No matter what form you attended, you have had an uplifting, eye-opening experience of Faith… you have experienced the Church at work in and through others. These types of experiences in our lives not only educate us in faith, but educate us in the living of our faith. Consider the Walk as a way to enhance, build up, enlighten your faith life and to connect you in a wonderful way with God’s Church on earth. Read Ephesians 4:1-16 and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
