Sometimes we get caught up in worry about what will happen to us. We get so distracted by the storms in life and focus on the rising waves that we don’t see Jesus standing right in front of us with an outstretched hand waiting for us to take it. Instead of worrying about what will happen next, Christians are meant to focus on what God is doing in our lives and to help work alongside God to bring hope and love to others. In his devotional book “Hope for Each Day” Billy Graham writes, “In a world filled with turmoil and hopelessness, we are to pray, and we are to do all we can to alleviate suffering and bring Christ’s love to others.” So look up past the rising waves, put your hand in Jesus’ outstretched hand, and walk alongside, working to bring hope and love to all. Read Matthew 5:16, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
