Keep the Goal in Sight

My daughter had just finished running her first marathon. She could not understand why I was making a big deal about it. She told me, “I finished but didn’t have a fast time.”  I told her that she just ran 26.2 miles!  I have never been able to run 100 feet. She paused and said that she had never thought about that.  How much in our lives do we just take for granted?  How many of our gifts and blessings?  We need to step back and reflect on the many blessings God has given to us.

God has put a goal out in front of us.  If we keep our eyes on the goal and use the gifts God has given to us, we will cross the Finish line.  Our time will not matter, just that we finish!  Read Philippians 3:13-14, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally!
