Jesus often plays with words. I enjoy his witty interactions and playfulness in the Gospels. I, too, like playing with words.
God sin us
God’s in us
The difference an apostrophe makes is significant.
God sin us.
Notice that sin is what stands between God and us.
The difference of the cross is significant. The cross is where our sin was destroyed and the veil of heaven was torn apart so nothing stands between God and us. It’s also the time when Jesus’ promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit was realized so that now…
God’s in us.
The cross happened because God sent Jesus to us while we were still sinners. Why? Because God loved us even then. And God’s love makes all the difference.
Read John 3:1-17, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally!
