Believe

In Through the Looking Glass, Alice meets the White Queen.
“There’s no use trying,” Alice said: “one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Some people view Christians like the White Queen.  We expect everyone to believe impossible things like the resurrection of Jesus. And if you attend an Easter Sunrise Service you’re expected to believe it before breakfast. Christians don’t believe in the impossible. We just believe that with God a lot more things are possible than people ever thought. Who would have believed that a small band of disciples hiding in fear would give rise to a faith embraced by more than one-billion people? Who would have believed that a guy named Saul, who dedicated himself to destroying Christianity, would become one of its greatest advocates? And it all came about because people believed it was possible for Jesus, who was crucified, died, and buried, to be raised to new life. They believed it was possible. We believe it is possible, and that makes all the difference in life. We believe Christ is risen. Christ is risen indeed.
Read Romans Mark 10:23-34, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
