Christian Books

I enjoy reading and sometimes find reading Christian books can help to strengthen or broaden my faith.  Three books I’ve read recently are “Blessed by An Angel,” “In His Steps,” and “Son of Thunder.”

“Blessed by an Angel” (multiple authors) tells and shows us through many short stories that angels help us in our time of need.  They are often in forms we don’t recognize as angels and help in mysterious ways.

“In His Steps,” by Charles M Sheldon, tells and shows us how Reverend Henry Maxwell, Edward Norman, Rachel Winslow and a few other people demonstrate Christ-likeness for us.  I’ve really enjoyed this book.  It tells of people who gave up their earthly goods, helped the poor, and helped others come to Christ.

“John, Son of Thunder” by Ellen Gunderson Traylor is a historically accurate fictional account of the life of John, one of Jesus’ disciples during his time with Christ.  It’s an easy to read and enjoyable story of what might have happened and helps to bring the gospel stories to life.

Read Luke 15:10, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
