Weathering the Weather

The irony of this morning’s blog post did not escape me.  Last night’s sunset was not particularly bright or colorful due the dark stormy sky. Clearly, I had written it last week and scheduled it to post ahead of time.  The true irony is, I would normally have checked to see what was coming next and changed it as circumstances required, but I was too busy preparing our ranch for the approaching hurricane.  And yet, even in the storms of life we can see the awesome power of our Creator.  Even in storms, God is with us.  Even in storms, we can praise God.

Our ranch made it through the storm with relatively little damage.  All people and animals here are unharmed.  I pray this is true for all of you reading this.  I know people on the coast were hit harder, causing power outages, flooding, and road closures.  Today, we will see the needs of those around us.  We will pray for those affected and then help be the answer to those prayers.  May the peace of God be with you all.

Read Isaiah 41:10, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally!
