Today is a big day for JOY Lutheran Congregation. Our Call Committee has recommended a primary candidate as our future pastor and our council has approved him. Today we, as a congregation, get to find out who he is and meet him. There is much hope for our incoming pastor and for our church community, along with questions and uncertainties.
May we remember who we are, no matter who is leading worship here. We are God’s beloved children, and God takes each of us by the hand and walks with us on our journeys. God is with us; God is for us; God loves us. If we trust in God and look to God we cannot go wrong. If we find a pastor to lead us who loves God and loves this congregation we will be blessed indeed! That is my prayer and hope for JOY.
Read Jeremiah 3:15, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally!
