I was reading John 15 and was struck by verses 12 and 13: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” I have read this verse many times before, but it struck me with new meaning as I read and hear all the hurtful and and hateful things people say about others. We need to love one another. I think our church’s name “Joy” helps to clarify our mission as Christians. If we love one another, we will spread the joy of Christ’s love to others throughout our community. Let us go forward together in love, with joy! Remember: God loves you unconditionally!
