Happy Independence Day!  Today we celebrate our freedom as a country.  Today, and every day, let us also celebrate our freedom as people of God.  In the Old Testament, we read how God freed the Israelites from slavery.  In the New Testament, we read how Christ freed us from sin, death, and the devil.  John 8:36 reads: “If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”  Our God is a liberating God!  Read Galatians 5:13, and remember: God loves YOU unconditionally!
