I have not yet rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, but outside my window the birds repeat their trill – “This is the day the Lord has made!”
Can you hear me now?

The sweet, soft, steady, peaceful breathing of my husband, sleeping beside me.
Can you hear me now?

The voice at the other end of the phone saying “Hi Mom.”
Can you hear me now?

Lord Jesus, I hear you. I hear your blessings.
