In His Hands . . .

“He’s got the whole world in His hands,
He’s got the whole wide world in His hands.
He’s got the whole world in His hands.
He’s got the whole world in His hands.”

Did you sing that in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School or church camp? I did. It seems the words were pretty easy to remember. No wonder we liked it!

Looking at it now, it means a lot more than it did when we were kids.  We watch the news. So much of it is discouraging and frightening. We can’t help but wonder what this world is coming to!

Maybe it’s a good time to remember that God really does have the whole world in His hands. We can’t always see His plan, so it’s sometimes easy to doubt if He is even watching.

For me, it’s the perfect time to bring out that old favorite song, to hear those lyrics, and to trust every word! We can be fervent in our prayer knowing that even in the darkest days our Lord walks with us, every step of the way.

Be reassured of His love, His absolute love. Remember He loves you unconditionally.
