It is always a busy time of the year when the return to Florida schedule kicks in. All the projects that I brought north need to be packed up and sent south again – mostly undone. For some reason, I seem to think that I will have more time to finish these tasks while I am lazing around during the summer. Ha! Ha!
I try to concentrate my efforts on one box at a time. Yes, I know that it is a variation on one day at a time, and that works for me. For me to look at all that needs to be organized and packed would send me back to bed. I ask for guidance from a loving God, who I am sure looks down on me and says, “Theresa, really? Again?” And goes right ahead and sends the grace and direction that I need to complete my goal.
This is the practice of faith. I recently saw a poster in the janitor’s room at church which read “Faith makes all things possible, not easy”. Isn’t that true? However, the practice of faith is critical to the development of a working relationship with God.
That working relationship with God is critical to my ability to live this life one day at a time. They are so connected that they cannot be separated! Thank you, Dear Lord Jesus, for this insight into my relationship with you. Thank you for the daily grace that you bestow freely on me and all your people.

“Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:23-26
