Candle in the Night

It was such a simple act . . .

Strike a match and light the pumpkin spice scented candle that was gifted to me for my birthday . . .

The early fall darkness went from dusk to golden in an instant. The sweet smell filled my senses.

And suddenly my heart was filled with thanksgiving . . .

In that simple act, I was joined together with women throughout the ages, wanting to warm their hearts and their homes and their families by lighting a candle . . .

And, as Christians, we were bound by the knowledge of the one, true light in our lives;
Jesus Christ.

Remember, God loves you unconditionally.
