The Vast Array of Humanity

Every day we see hundreds of people.  In all probability, we will never see any of them again.  If you do some quick mathematics, based on an average of 20,000 days that we will live, it becomes absolutely mind-boggling.

Some days, we may be so lazy, lethargic, or just plain sick, that we see only our loved one or ones we live with.

Other days, such as at airports or even driving, we might see literally thousands — not exchanging a word with one.  Interesting, life is. Marvelous, God’s created humanity is. Such uniqueness. Does this happen accidentally? Surely not! There is divine purpose in each of the thousands you will see today. We can feel lost, small, when we ponder these calculations. But as vast as the billions inhabiting God’s created Earth, we are each counted and important to our vast almighty God.

Such are my musings, as I sit on a plane before daybreak, waiting for take-off into God’s seemingly unending sky. I close this brief soliloquy by reminding you faithful readers that God loves you unconditionally.
