“Whether it’s cold or whether it’s hot,
We can’t control weather, whether or not.”
I’m reminded of this little poem from my childhood as I read the text message from Ocala Emergency Government warning me that it will dip to a “dangerous” 22 degrees overnight in Ocala. Where I come from, in Wisconsin, 22 degrees is a “balmy” January day to be enjoyed in the fullest!
However, I turn to the thermostat on the wall and dial it to a comfortable 70 degrees.
And control freak that I am, I’m reminded by the Holy Spirit, that I am never in control.
A warmth surrounds my body, not from the thermostat, but from the love of my Heavenly Father. . .
Yes, Lord, I will accept your guidance.
Yes, Lord, I will accept your forgiveness.
Yes, Lord, I will consciously allow you to take over the controls of my life.
HE loves us unconditionally.
