Knock, Knock . . .

Who’s there?

I know it’s you, God.

And yet why, in my busyness, do I put you “on hold?”

Why, in my stubborn-ness, do I refuse to answer?

Why, in my preoccupation with myself and my opinions, do I ignore your “knocking?”

Please, Heavenly Father, help me to open the door to your love and your guidance.

Help me to open the door to my heart and let you in . . .

Teach me to welcome you with open arms whenever you “knock.”

I know You love us unconditionally.

Patti

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
“Lift up your heads, O gates; and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.” – Psalm 24:7
