That’s my favorite Richard Avery and Donald Marsh song. I loved teaching it to children. They sing it like they really believe it. Every morning is Easter morning. What an outrageous idea! But it’s true. Every day is lived in the light of the Resurrection. The dark night is over. The sadness is past. Jesus lives.

Believe it!

I am one of the Easter people.
My new life has begun.

A lot of people don’t see it, but we do. Jesus died and rose to new life. By our baptism we share that new life. Live like one of the Easter people filled with hope joy. Let Jesus shape every day of your life.

It seems the Good News
Seldom gets heard.
Get it straight from the Easter people
God’s in charge spread the word.

In modern times we Christians have failed to tell people the Good News of Jesus. We’ve let Christianity be defined by a bunch of grumps who characterize us as the bearers of bad news. Let this sad old world know what a great thing Christ has done for us. Share the story of Jesus. Jesus lives and we live in him.
