From our birth, we trust those who are older to guide us and keep us safe. Parents, teachers and religious leaders teach us to treat others with respect, as we would want to be treated. As children we trust our parents to protect us; our school bus drivers to get us to school safely. We count on teachers to help us do math, understand science, write clearly and speak well. We use that knowledge, not only for our future careers, but also for the good of our communities. We hope our leaders will earn our trust and lead us by their own good example.
Living in the 21st century, there is so much we must trust. We purchase food prepared far away and trust the labeling. We travel our highways and trust the road signs to tell the distance to our destination. We have a GPS in our vehicles to identify the route we should drive. When we think about it, if we didn’t trust these things, we’d have difficulty getting around and handling everyday life.
I think most would agree that we put our trust in the tried and true systems that have worked for us. We put our faith in those who operate these systems. And yes, sometimes we have been let down. But, as a Christian I pledge my total trust and faith in Him who created the world, who loves me unconditionally, who forgives all my faults, who guides me in where I should go and what I should do. I have found that despite my human frailty and daily struggles, my Abba Father has never failed me. When my load is too heavy, He sends others to help and rescue me.
I urge all to look into your hearts, read the scriptures, find a bible believing church, and share your beliefs and questions with a Christian friend. God will show you that He is the one you can trust every day, always, no matter what! AMEN?
Remember, God loves YOU unconditionally!
Joey
