We walk daily through this journey called life. Some days we may meander through a peaceful meadow, the sun shines on us, all is well. Our journey is a delight! And yes, God walks with us through that meadow.
But other days our walk takes us through a jungle. The undergrowth is thick. The ground beneath our feet gives way to mud. Predators lurk unseen. We are faced with tragedy, hurt, illness, loneliness, or need. No matter how we turn, it just seems impossible to find our way. We call out to God. Where is the path? We question if He hears us; we are frantic.
Even in our desperation, God hears us. His answer – I am the way. He doesn’t promise to smooth the path for us, the vegetation is still thick. He makes no promise to purge all the predators, danger still lurks. But He gives a greater gift. He gives Himself. He promises to walk with us. And He promises to be with us to the very end!
Perhaps you need that hope today. Perhaps you need someone to lead you through your jungle.
If so, call out for your Shepherd. He knows your voice. And he’s just waiting for your request. He loves you. He loves you unconditionally.

“Just a closer walk with Thee, Grant it, Jesus, if you please
Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be!”
