Today is my 100th blog. Not that that’s of any particular significance.

Yet, to me it’s encouraging. One hundred times I sat down at this computer and stared at that blank screen. One hundred times I prayed that the Holy Spirit would lead me in one direction or another. He did. Sometimes the good gentleman of this house offered thought-provoking suggestions. Sometimes ideas came easily. Sometimes they stubbornly evaded me. But, one hundred times a blog was written.

If the Holy Spirit has been willing to guide me through 100 blogs, I have confidence that I may continue to ask for and receive His inspiration in the weeks ahead.

And isn’t that how it is with our life’s journey? We called on Him when we faced the responsibilities of parenthood. We called on Him when our loved ones became ill and left us. We called on Him when we ourselves were hurt, suffering, disappointed, or alone. And He answered our prayers! If our God was with us through each of our years, whether through joys or trials, then we have faith that He will be with us tomorrow as well!

We can have full confidence that whatever may befall us in the days ahead, our loving Father will continue to come to us, to be with us, to hold us in the palm of His hand.

Why? Because He loves us unconditionally.
