Patience

A word of wisdom from an ICU nurse; “Good things happen slowly.”

A body healing.

A loaf of yeasty bread rising, then fragrantly baking.

Nine months for the birth of a baby.

Winter turning to spring.

A flower blooming.

A child learning to read.

A life well-lived.

And sometimes, a prayer answered.
In God’s time . . .

Heavenly Father, it is so hard to learn patience.

“I waited patiently for the Lord’s help; then he listened to me and heard my cry.” -Psalm 40:1
“Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.” – Romans 12:12

God loves us unconditionally. He is always, patiently, waiting for me.
