Tossing and turning, unable to sleep, I sat down at my computer in the early morning darkness and impatiently powered it up. Ugh! It seems like it’s taking forever. Finally it hums and chugs and the screen comes to life. The message on the screen says . . .

“Your system has been cleaned.”

Just who, exactly, is this message from?

Just who, exactly, is this message for?

I couldn’t help but think that this message had nothing to do with my computer. Was my Heavenly Father reaching out to me in the middle of a sleepless night? Was he calming my restlessness? Was he restoring my soul? Was he forgiving my sins? Was he establishing one more “connection” to the internet of His universe?

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10

And just like that, this marvel of modern technology, this cruncher of numbers and factoids, became a tool of my Savior. My “system” was cleaned.

He loves us unconditionally.
