I do not know the source of this sweet prayer aid. I do know that it is always with me and has served me well at random moments.

Thumb This is your strongest finger. Give thanks for all the strong things in your life; home and family, the relationships that sustain you.

Index Finger Your pointing finger. Pray for those people and things that guide you and help you in your life; friends, teachers, doctors, pastors.

Middle Finger Your tallest finger. Pray for all the important people who have power in the world; leaders and governments, mayors and president

Ring Finger Your weakest finger. Remember the poor, the sick, the bereaved.

Little Finger Your smallest and last finger; pray for yourself after others.

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear. I will help you.” – Isaiah 41:13

And this God who takes hold of your hand loves you unconditionally.
