Ezekiel, God’s prophet, saw in a vision, a valley of dry bones and was instructed to speak to the bones telling them that God would breathe new life into them. Ezekiel 37. You can probably sing the song based on this scripture. “…the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone; the thigh bone is connected to…now hear the word of the Lord…” Ezekiel’s prophecy was to foretell the resurrection of Israel, which was a “dead” nation at this time.

What would happen if you allowed God to speak to you, your aching bones, your troubled woes? If you believe that God is all powerful, omnipotent, Master of all, allow Him to speak to you. You will probably not hear an audible chorus of “dem bones rising,” but He does come to us through so many channels. A Bible passage you read that has just the right answer you were looking for, or a friend calling with a suggestion that is perfect for your concern. I personally have asked for Him to sky write to me, make it crystal clear, large and exactly what He wants, but it hasn’t happened.

There are times when our bones can feel dry, our spirits empty. Be open to receiving His call. Know that He never lost the connection with you. Reconnect. Open the line. Receive His plan for you with the same openness of Ezekiel. Perhaps those old bones will dance for you, too.

With His unconditional love for His children, He finds the perfect way to transmit His will to you. Open your heart and He will enter.
