Self-Diagnosis

I need a Heart Transplant . . .

My heartbeat has become too regular, too predictable. It’s forgotten to skip a beat at the glory of your sunrise, the majesty of the skies, the growth of my gardens, the love from family and friends . . .

I need an infusion of the blood of your Holy Spirit. I’ve missed the warmth of your love coursing through my veins.

I need to feel the rawness of your scars, healing me with the forgiveness of my sins.
And along comes your prognosis, your prescription, your relief . . .

It’s called “Christmas.”

And my healthy heart skips a beat as I praise the wonder of His Holy Birth . . .
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” – Ezekial 36:26

The wonder of His Holy Love . . . a love that is unconditional.
