An epiphany can in simpler terms mean A…ha. Today is Epiphany in the Christian tradition. Wise Men, the Magi or Three Kings arrive to see the Messiah. From Bible studies and research, I know the Bible does not give us the number of Magi that arrived, but tradition supposes since there were three of them represented by the three gifts. These were studied men, educated, and versed in the prophecies of the prophets. When the star appeared, their inclination was to follow believing they would greet the new King, their Messiah. An A-ha moment to be witnessed by them.
The gifts they brought were traditional gifts usually presented to kings or deity. Precious gold, healing frankincense and anointing myrrh were given to Mary for the welcoming of Baby Jesus.
What could yougive Him? Have you given any thought to what our Lord may want from you? No wrapping paper is needed. No brightly colored bows. No creative embellishments. He wants YOU. Our Messiah loves you unconditionally. He wants you 100%. The precious gifts delivered on Epiphany by the Magi were special for welcoming the new infant, and theprecious gift of YOU is the only gift He wants from you. Have an A-ha moment, an epiphany yourself and give the BEST gift, completely, without any strings attached. Give the gift of YOU to Jesus and receive unconditional love, direction, guidance, forgiveness, blessings, comfort and gifts from Him that are as precious as the gold, frankincense and myrrh given to Him at His birth.
