Think on These Things

What do you think about? Where do your thoughts roam when you slow down and allow them to wander into your mind? Are your thoughts positive? Are they thoughts of encouragement, hope, or appreciation? Has worry crept in? Does gloom descend? Is negativity plaguing your mind?

There is a movement for folks to create visualization boards. Things you see for yourself, places you would like to be, relationships you want healed, health you would like restored, use those thoughts in “picture form” to create a visualization board to keep in front of your eyes, a visual for your eyes and mind.

The prophets of the Old Testament used their visions to bring news or forewarn people of coming times and events even “predicting” the birth of Christ. They were believed to be given insight directly from God.

Angels appeared. Stars appeared. Prophets foretold. Visions were ever present in the unfolding of the Old Testament and finally in the New Testament we see results explained, visions proven and reminders to us spelled out.

The apostle Paul said, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable ¬ if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ¬ think about such things and the God of peace will be with you.”  Philippians 4:8

Those directions are perfectly clear. Think about good things. Visualize excellent, praiseworthy plans for yourself. The God of peace will be with you. He is prompting you to “see” goodness, health, peace, forgiveness.

If you are creating a vision board, make sure it is right, pure, lovely, and admirable. You might not need a physical board, your mind might be powerful on its own to keep those images present. “See” the BEST He has planned for you. God loves you unconditionally.
