Is it possible that we make life too difficult? Could WE be the reason that drama surrounds us? The expression, “You are your own worst enemy,” does that resonate with you? Are you guilty of over-thinking every detail of your life?
Picture a children’s Bible or perhaps a Bible story book created for youngsters. The pictures are so peaceful and idyllic. Jesus walking, smiling, and chatting among his disciples; sheep grazing; the sea calmly meeting the shore. Do you, instead, feel harried, overwhelmed, and a little too sharp in your responses to others?
Our Lord presented himself to us in human form. He loves us unconditionally and understands our shortcomings, but encourages us to embrace His peace and comfort.
The world today offers mindfulness lessons, yoga, self-awareness courses and so much more. You can choose to travel within to His peace. (Philippians 4:7) “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God’s peace, the peace from within your spirit, will envelope you with calm. You will feel His unconditional love and comfort. The drama in your life will dissipate. The over-thinking will subside. His peace surpasses all understanding. It is inexplicable and wonderful.
Step into His word. Read your Bible. Are you too rattled to focus? If so, then just STOP, press the pause button of your busy-ness and breathe. Prayerfully allow His PEACE to fill you. You will breathe in His renewed breath for your peace-filled day.
