It’s just 3 more days until Valentine’s Day. (Not quite like the countdown to Christmas, is it?) Yes, this is the week for hearts and flowers. Do you remember making Valentines in school? Or maybe bringing in little Valentine cards to share with your classmates? I know Valentine’s Day seems to have turned into a Hallmark holiday, but let’s be a little creative about this.
You see, I checked online to see if February 11th might just happen to be a holiday of any sort. Well, it appears that February 11th is labeled “Make A Friend Day.” Seemed like a happy coincidence in the same week as Valentine’s Day.
I’ll still be out looking for the perfect card for my sweetheart. But maybe I could go a little further. How about using this excuse for sending a little card or note to a shut-in or someone living alone. Could this be just a little touch of friendship, a little sign that someone remembers them? If you’re not into using the USMail, how about a text or email that just lets them know you’re thinking of them. And, if you’re a phone person, well, you get the idea.
Our Lord Jesus remembers each of us, always. Yet, His presence can seem far away when one is ill or alone. He asks us to be His hands, to be His feet, to show His love to our brothers and sisters. His love for you is unconditional. Let’s share . . .
Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”

Didn’t read until Valentines Day. Thanks for taking time to send messages. Greatly appreciated. 🦋
