The Repairman

I’m going today! I taking my computer in for repair. I’ll be sure to stand right next to the technician. I have lots of suggestions for him. I’m sure he wants my help to do his job.

Oops, wait a minute now. Is it possible that he will be annoyed by my constant intrusion? Is it just possible that he would prefer it if I would just “get lost” until he gets the job done? Just maybe he is the one with the skills to do the job. Just maybe, I am not.

Makes me think. How about all the other troubles I have, the ones I take to my Lord in prayer. Just maybe I often tell God what the problem is and how He should fix it.  Now I know that He understands the problem even before I speak. Yet somehow I still think He may need my help in knowing exactly what He should do. Well maybe not.

He’s told us to turn our problem over to Him, to stop worrying about it, to give thanks for his protection, and to move on!

Not so easy sometimes. I have to accept that God has the answers; and more importantly that I don’t. Ouch!

His love for me is unconditional. His love for you is unconditional. Let’s give thanks and let Him be in charge.
