My youngest son, Andrew, was so ready for kindergarten. He had talked about his FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL all summer. His older brother Tim would be entering third grade and the boys would now both be in school. The new school clothes were bought. The lunch boxes and backpacks were ready. Photo time neared, as we prepared to head to the car for the first day of school. Andrew beamed with a smile that showed his excitement. Suddenly, he balked and froze stating succinctly, “I’m not READY today!”

Have you ever felt like you were not ready for what unfolded in your life? School? Marriage? Children? An unexpected/expected death of a loved one? Job offer? Job loss? Stock market plummeting?

Not every event in our lives works according to what we have planned. God holds the big master planner, with each nano-second mapped out, recorded and orchestrated by Him. I am not certain that my plan book even remotely looks like His regarding my time on earth.

The true blessing is He is READY and He works out all the details flawlessly. Learning to lean into His plan, knowing the planner is filled with only the right events for you can bring you such comfort.

Perhaps before you start filling in your planner or smartphone calendar, you should pause and pray for guidance and His will for your nano-second, time crunched, and packed schedule of events. God loves you unconditionally and He’s at the starting line of your life, READY, SET, GO. He will prepare you for your unfolding time on His gift of Earth, if you give Him the reins and accept His plans as the PERFECT timing of your life.

Trust the Keeper of the plan book. He is ready!
