I do not know the source of this sweet prayer aid. I do know that it is always with me and has served me well at random moments. . . a handshake with my Lord.

Thumb –  This is your strongest finger. Give thanks for all the strong things in your life; home and family, the relationships that sustain you.

Index Finger –  Your pointing finger. Pray for those people and things that guide you and help you in your life; friends, teachers, doctors, pastors.

Middle Finger  –  Your tallest finger. Pray for all the important people who have power in the world; leaders and governments, mayors and president

Ring Finger –  Your weakest finger. Remember the poor, the sick, the bereaved.

Little Finger –  Your smallest and last finger; pray for yourself after others.
