Sometimes in my search for just the right words to pray to you, Lord

My eyes close softly . . .
My breaths become deeper . . .
The noise of the world disappears . . .
An unexpected tear trails down my face . . .
A peace settles over my very being . . .

And I realize
That in the silence . . .
Without any words . . .
I am listening . . .
You are talking . . .

The words are unspoken
But the message is loud and clear
Jesus loves me. Jesus will protect me. Jesus will meet my every need.
