The Lord is Risen, He is Risen Indeed

Easter is my personal favorite of the holy days in my faith.

There are many Christian and commercial symbols representing the Easter season.
The butterfly is one of those symbols. It lives one day only, so when I see them flitting from flower to flower or lightly on a breeze, I always think of our Lord.

Jesus’ horrific death on the cross, the beating and ridicule He endured are beautifully obscured and hidden away on this glorious day of celebration. His resurrection, His paradise journey are flashes for me on each flutter of a butterfly’s wings.

What a powerful message for His followers to hang on to, He is risen!

So much hope for us to embrace, if only with a mustard seed size of faith. He lives! Jesus chose us to follow Him. Like His disciples before us, we are charged with believing in Him. Repent. Trust. He loves us unconditionally.

You may be delighted that Spring has arrived or watching children scamper to find hidden eggs or even snacking on delectable chocolate, but the pure essence of Easter and the news of the empty tomb, should wrap you in the gift of God’s all powerful love for you, always!

As the butterfly emerges from its cocoon and whisks into life, remember, the Lord is risen.

He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!
