Isn’t this what its all about? God saved us by love. Yes, I know that He made us imperfect beings. Then He expected us to listen and do as He asked. He must have known that the complication of free will would make this a very difficult task for us to accomplish. I guess that He thought He would let us have a go at it.
Then, like the good Father that He is, He decided that we really needed more help to defeat death and get back in His good graces. So, He gave us, not only grace but, Himself as sacrifice. He comes to earth in human form and demonstrates that He can overcome death so that we can enjoy eternal life with Him in paradise.
This is the gift and the joy of Easter. It is a gift that lasts a lifetime. It is with us every day of our lives, not just on Easter Sunday, but all the time. It is the inspiration to start each day with a prayer in our hearts and a song of praise on our lips. Thanks be to God!
Thanks be to God, who loves you unconditionally, through all the ups and downs, goods and bads, joys and sorrows of our lives. God who is love and saves us by His love. Happy Easter all year long!!
