Evening Wonder

A brilliant stripe of orange blurs into an irregular, wispy swatch of aqua. The intensity lightens to coral, then soft pink. The blue deepens. Before my eyes, the orange has turned to a fiery red and the sight takes my breath away. . .

Aren’t Florida sunsets magnificent?

Night after night, God paints the sky with a brush that artists have envied through the ages.
Night after night, God presents me with his magnificence.
Night after night, God reminds me of his gift of another precious day.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth . . .”
“And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. – Genesis 1:14

Night after night, I say a silent prayer to my heavenly father.
Night after night, through an ever new, ever original sunset, he shows me that he is listening.
Thank you, God.

“The whole earth is filled with awe of your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.” – Psalm 65:8

For He loves us unconditionally.
