Spam

When I was a kid, Spam was fake meat that came in a tin. Even the thought of it made me want to hold my nose and gag.

In today’s techno-world, Spam is an unwanted email. “Click here for a free car.” “Click here to cure your headache.” “Click here to meet the man of your dreams.” (Already got one, thank you.)

In my personal world, Spam is the many disruptions that come between me and God.

I’ll read my Bible later.
I’ll stop and say a prayer before I fall asleep.
I’ll . . .

You know.

HE knows. And yet HE is always there for me. HE is always listening when I make the time.

My prayers to HIM are never unwanted.
Spam-free.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying.” Ephesians 6:18
