Job Seeking

I remember what it used to be like when you applied for a job . . .

You scoured the newspaper want-ads. You looked for “help wanted” signs in windows.

You asked your friends if they knew anyone who was hiring.

You got “all dressed up” and prepared yourself with the dates of your graduation and names, addresses and phone numbers of people who you could use as a references. You might have met with the receptionist or with a director of personnel. Someone usually interviewed you on the spot.

It’s very different today. Jobs are advertised on-line. Often the opportunities are “blind ads.” You have no idea what company you are applying to. You are warned that “phone calls will not be accepted.” Email your resume to the official email address. And wait . . .

Most often, your resume is used to eliminate you from the position. Do you seem to be too old? Over experienced? Looking for more money than they are willing to pay? If a potential match does appear, your first interview will be over the phone. No personal contact. No opportunity to sell yourself.

But we know a better way . . .

The “C.E.O.” of our “company” will speak to you personally at any hour about opportunities to serve HIM. HE already knows your name. HE has personally developed your skills and talents under HIS watchful eye.

The starting salary is amazing . . . Everlasting Life

The benefits cannot be beat . . . Forgiveness of your sins

No need to sign this contract on the dotted line . . .

HE loves us unconditionally.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.” – Jeremiah 29:11
