Have you heard the expression “hang in there?” I used to have a poster in my classroom of a kitten dangling precariously from a tree limb and the words HANG IN THERE were captioned on the poster.
Can your faith in your Lord last a day? Are you able to make it through the ups and downs of your morning and still “hang in there?” Does an upsetting phone call with bad news throw you for a loop and your faith zips out of the picture? When your life’s situation, your daily march through activities and work are on an even keel, faith seems to be a breeze. Life is good. Wait here it comes….BUT, when a cog is thrown into the wheel of life, when the even keel of rowing along gets turned upside down, do you reach for your lifeline? Are you hanging in there? Has your faith become just a “go to” when the storms of life surround you or is it snuggled deep within your core?
Do you hang precariously from a limb like the kitten in my poster, or does your faith and relationship with our Lord have roots so deep, so entwined in your being that you are able to be strong and sustained on His word and promises. Remember, God loves you unconditionally.
