Empty Chair

We post this blog in loving memory of our friend Terry.  You also are gone but not forgotten.

I just read a poem called the empty chair prayer.* As we prepare for thanksgiving, we think of all the things that we are thankful for. I am thankful for all the people in my life that have previously occupied those now empty chairs. I’m especially thankful for my time and memories of my mother, making sure everyone had everything they needed before she would take her seat at the table, and the way my father would encourage her to sit down and relax. I miss them, as well as many others that are now residing at God’s table. They are gone but not forgotten. I am thankful for all the love I have received on my journey through life. This thanksgiving , let’s all remember the empty chairs and be truly thankful! Read I John 14:1-3, and remember: God loves you unconditionally!
