Your word has a way of pulling us up short.. We discover how vulnerable we are when we measure our sinful nature against the truth of your word. Temper is defined as a “state of mind”, and often portrays our character, especially as others see us.
Help us to see the good in others, but above all keep us from exercising judgment on others by ignoring our own shortcomings and becoming “superior” in our own mind’s eye. By your grace, cleanse our imperfections and hold us in your care and keeping, now and forever. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
“Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others. Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye.” Matthew 7:1-3
Remember: God loves YOU unconditionally.
