You’ll Look Sweet, Upon the Seat of a Bicycle Built for Two

Bicycles that are built for two can be quite fun to ride, but you need to be in sync for sure.  No, the person seated in front doesn’t do all the work, both of you need to pedal together, synchronized and the fun will come naturally. I remember great adventures on a bike for two, wobbling, getting our balance and rhythm and then off for a great ride.

Can you picture a two seated bike?  If you are partnered up with our Lord, the tandem ride through life can be an adventure.  Don’t be a hot shot and let go of the handle bars.  Don’t try to show off with no feet on the pedals.  You aren’t on this ride alone.  Yes, you get to have the front seat and may indeed think you are now the boss and “in charge” (that’s free will), but look out because the adventuresome ride might get really bumpy.  If you know that the Lord is riding in tandem with you, cheering you on to stay in sync with Him and listen to His direction, you just might become safer in His care.  Will there be traffic? Yes.  Will there be potholes? Yes. “Life really is like a box of chocolates (Forest Gump); you don’t know what you are going to get.” BUT, if your ride through this life is guided by our Heavenly Father and you allow Him to be your partner, some of the twists and turns will be navigated more easily and the outcome will be blessings. Praise His steering choice for your life.  Thank Him for His steady unconditional love and faithfulness to you. The beauty of the duo-ride will fill your heart.
