Wonder Where the Yellow Went . . .

Some of us are old enough to remember a Pepsodent toothpaste commercial jingle, “You’ll wonder where the yellow went, when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent.” I was chuckling to myself when the jingle popped into my mind as I watched the recent rains, rinsing off the yellow pollen seemingly stuck to everything. The cycle of nature, pollen coming from new growth, wind blowing it all around (causing sinus issues for many), and then followed by rains rinsing the yellow, green yuck away.

God’s gift of nature and wonders of His natural world just never cease to amaze me.  The intricacies of nature’s cycles, the fine details in a seashell (the Nautilus shell – a mathematical study for sure), the bright magnificent colors amid the animal species (the Rainbow lorikeets, photographer’s delight). How awesome that He provides even showers to rinse away pollen!

There are many who appreciate the beauty of this world and amid the admirers are even those who do not believe this is a God created world. How can that be?  We are so richly blessed with a God who washes away the “yuck” from us with forgiveness, healing, unconditional love and grace.  He gave us the gift of His son.  Show others your light from within. Reach out to the unbelievers with the message of hope.  The “yellow” in their lives can be washed away with the blood of Jesus. Recognize the fine details of your body and mind, the magnificent colors of your personality.  See Christ’s spirit in nature and others.  Provide insight and encouragement to the non-believers.  Our God is a great God.  He has not left the throne.  Details are His business.  The “yellow-ness” of faults, bad habits, illness, fear and even unbelief can be washed away. Wonder where the yellow went….give your life to Him.  Your sins will be forgiven.
